Codemasters' post-apocalptic racing game is coming to the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

There's something to be said for making a large-scale off-road racing game topical by invoking the potentially disastrous effects of global warming on an environment and the chaotic weather that ensues. Although this might initially seem like a narrative crutch to explain why there isn't much civilian traffic in Fuel's massive expanse of open-world land (5,000 square miles loosely based on the Pacific Northwest), drastic shifts in weather patterns play an important role in some races.

In fact, one of the earliest races available on the map essentially pits your muscle car against a series of tornados that not only wreak havoc on your vehicle, but on surrounding objects in the environment as well, including massive power lines that come crashing down on the track. In another race, a massive dust storm sweeps through the landscape, limiting your field of view, which in turn makes shortcuts off of the beaten path a riskier proposition.

This modified FUEL.exe will allow you to load and play the game independently of the Xlive launcher (GameSetup.exe) and the SecuROM launcher (SecuLauncher.exe); so without a disc.

Just copy over this fixed file and relink your shortcuts to point directly to it. Remember to set up and graphics config in the GameSetup.exe application first though. ENJOY!

*Note: This DOES NOT circumvent the xlive game key check which you get at the main menu (when it asks you to login with a profile). So if you do not have a valid key you will be able to play without the disc, BUT without the ability to (auto)save.

Delta Force Xtreme 2 is a first-person shooter where, as a part of the Delta Force Special Operations team, you must protect US interests by parachuting into various third-world countries and decimating a hodgepodge alliance of terrorists, drug smugglers, and Uzbek separatists. The game's primary appeal lies in huge multiplayer matches with vast, sprawling terrain and support for up to 150 players. However, in DFX2 even the multiplayer experience rarely rises above mediocre, while the single-player never even comes close. With gameplay and graphics that lag behind other military-themed shooters, Delta Force Xtreme 2 offers little to distinguish itself.

Although Sacred 2: Fallen Angel doesn't break any new ground, it does impressive work freshening up an old formula.

It's hard to come up with a real-time strategy game that's as large and ambitious as Supreme Commander, which came out at the beginning of this year. The spiritual successor to 1997's famed Total Annihilation, Supreme Commander is a sci-fi strategy game that occurs on a scale far larger than regular RTS games. With battlefields that are as large as 40-by-40 square kilometers (or even 81-by-81 in skirmish and multiplayer), the game offers a lot of flexibility and room. When you flash forward to the end of the year, we get Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. What's impressive is the amount of stuff that developer Gas Powered Games has managed to squeeze into the standalone expansion in relatively little time.

Full: Forged Alliance is a standalone follow-up to Supreme Commander, and it introduces a powerful new alien faction in addition to a new campaign and new units.
