For those who get this sound error try this:
1. Go to "Cabela's Outdoor Adventures\coa09_dx9\Cfg"
2. Open Console.cfg in notepad and search for:
addvar snd_useSound int; snd_useSound = 1
and change it to
addvar snd_useSound int; snd_useSound = 0
